Unemboldening
When I designed the GPXZ homepage in 2021, I made a whimsical decision to emphasise key words in bold.
I felt it provided a rough overview to someone who was quickly scanning the site.
It was also a nod to the MAD magazine comics I devoured as a kid.
But now, speckling prose with bold is a calling card of LLMs.
So the homepage bolding has been removed.
My company works because it has a reputation for quality and for excellent support (direct from the human that wrote the code and runs the business). The appearance of an LLM-generated homepage would undermine both of these characteristics.
